Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Stories you post: the options you pick, your city, and the handle you type. Stories and handles are public.
• Smash counts: totals per city, with no link to you.
• A hashed network identifier: we combine your IP address with a secret and hash it. We keep it to stop spam (rate limits, cleared after about a day) and to allow one cosign per person per story (kept as long as the story exists). We never store your raw IP address.
• Employer pledges: company name, domain, the interview methods selected, and the work email address used to verify the domain. The name, domain and methods are public on the pledge wall; the email is never shown and is used only to send the verification link, the receipt of listing, renewal reminders and messages about reports. We keep it while the listing exists and for 12 months after it ends. Reports against a listing store the reason and the hashed network identifier, not who you are.
• Gold Beacon orders: order id, amount, currency, city, story id, and Airwallex's payment and checkout ids. We do not receive or store card numbers, and we don't ask for your name or email. Airwallex collects what it needs to process the payment under its own privacy policy.

In your browser

We store your palette choice, your personal smash count and, when the shared registry is unreachable, your stories in your browser's local storage. We don't set cookies or use analytics or advertising trackers.

Service providers

• Cloudflare hosts the site and database, and runs Turnstile, a privacy-preserving human check, when you post, cosign or buy.
• Airwallex processes payments.
• Cloudflare Email Service sends the employer pledge emails.

Your choices

To remove a story, or for any privacy question, email admin@deleetcode.com with the story's text, city and handle. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored locally.
